Why does someone have to sign for my package?

Due to COVID-19, FedEx and UPS are not currently requiring a physical signature, but a 21+ adult must be present to accept the delivery. We recommend shipping to a business address or having the shipment held at a local facility if you cannot be home to accept the delivery.

Carriers require that any shipment containing alcohol must be signed for by a person of legal drinking age. 

If you're worried you won't be home to receive your package, we highly recommend changing your address to a workplace, if possible, or shipping to an address where someone is available to sign.

We also recommend creating a free UPS My Choice or FedEx Delivery Manager account (depending on your wine carrier) that helps you keep track of all of your deliveries. If your shipment is on its way, but you won’t be home, we may be able to hold your shipment at your carrier's local facility for you to pick up.
